Colorado Springs wedding photographer

I had the pleasure of photographing this couple at The Fine Arts Center in downtown Colorado Springs. They wanted their photographs to be exclusively photojournalistic, but when I saw some amazing backlight and nice fall colors outside, I begged them to take a posed photo which I think turned out fabulously and really captured their joy. You’d never guess they don’t like to be in front of the camera. The first two photos were taken at the cocktail hour before their ceremony began (hence the beautiful black cocktail dress Kristen wore before she slipped into her gorgeous gown).  I threw in the bouquet photo to show you my newest post processing technique…thought it turned out pretty cool.

Centennial Colorado Children’s Photographer

So, I was in the middle of scrolling through the photos from this session and stopped to chuckle when I came to this one. I’m proud to say that these adorable sisters are my nieces! I had a hard time posting just one photo but I have to leave some element of surprise for my bro & sis-in-law.

Colorado Springs Children Photographer – Urban session in Manitou

I had tons of fun with these two buddies. They were up for anything which allowed for me to be creative and try new locations. Manitou has so much to offer for photographers…all ya need is the time to walk around to find those hidden spots. Thank you girls for a fun day!

Nothing but giggles

I’ve been behind on blogging some recent shoots and this is one of them. I photographed these two sisters in Manitou a couple weeks ago and they were such a hoot. I had the best time with them. They both really know how to work the camera. They were even willing to continue with the session in the rain! Watching the two of them interact makes me wish I had a sister all the more.

Children Photography in Manitou Springs

I had the pleasure of hanging out with these A…DOR…A…BLE sisters today in Manitou Springs. Yes, I know, their outfits are just amazing…PERFECT colors for fall pictures. I could have photographed them all afternoon, but the     18-month-old told me perhaps we should call it a day. :) So, before their mom breaks into my home tonight to steal my camera so she can see the photos (I’m being serious), I thought I’d post a little sneak peak of just a few of my many favorites.

Gator Baby

In addition to her arrival into a loving and fun family, this little Gator fan is celebrating the big win over LSU last night! Enjoy your little sneak peak…your gallery will be ready soon. Oh, and thanks Heather for washing the blanket I left at your house…folks, Ava pooped all over her mommy. Hehehe. I’m glad she’s too young to hunt me down and beat me for just announcing that to the world. :)

Pottery Barn Kids shoot

I had an amazing opportunity recently to photograph several of the most adorable children in Colorado Springs . Pottery Barn Kids held an in-store promotion to earn a free session and 8×10 and I was the selected photographer…what an honor. So, just see for yourself how much cuteness was in the store that day. I wish I could include everyone, but here is just a small preview. Check out “Miss Gigglepants”…I had a hard time picking one of her. The very last photo might just be my favorite. I love it when photographs make me laugh so hard I could cry.
